A new shade of orange...

SO if you have noticed, I have not posted in a LONG time! there has been SO much going on in our family that I could not talk about and once it all came about, I did not have time to write it down. Kevin and the girls are out for a bit, so I am going to take several minutes to tell you about what is going on in the Miller Family!

We are the newest residents of Columbia Tennessee!!! Yes, that is right! We have taken the big plunge and have moved from Texas back to my homeland of Columbia, TN! Our orange has changed from Tesas burnt orange to bright Vols! The Lord has led us in an incredible way to this point. We have been in deep prayer since January of this year regarding this HUGE change!! We were not looking to move but a business opportunity came about, when we were not looking and here we are! (I will go into more detail of this in a later post, don't want to completely overload with info all at once :). We decided we would take some steps of faith and would see what the Lord did with us. We knew he would guide us if this is where he wanted us but if not all of the doors would close. We put our house on the market and sold it in 2 weeks!!! In this housing market, that was a clear go for us. SO 3 weeks later, here we are in the hills of Tennessee.

We miss our friends and family in TX terribly but we have been overly welcomed and loved into our new environment. Our neighbors are incredible! Everyone has stopped by, brought cookies asked for play dates, etc. The Lord completely has placed us in the most wonderful neighborhood! We are adjusting well but are still working at the adjustments. The girls have done wonderfully!!! Bella understands that this is her new home but does ask for her old friends to come and play. She is making some new friends which has really helped. Kevin's mom, Karen, has come to be with us for 2 weeks and help out with the kiddos. We could NOT have done it without her!!! She has allowed Kevin and I to be able to work on getting the house settled and getting everything started up.
I am so COMPLETELY overwhelmed at this point I do not even know where to begin or where to end on telling you how we are in the midst of a complete faith jump and are looking forward to seeing how the Lord is going to use us in His kingdom in TN.

To my friends in TX: thank you for being there for us in all of this rapid change. your overwhelming support and love are what encouraged us in the sad and nervous and exciting times. You are here in our hearts in TN and we continue to read your encouraging notes and thougths. It has helped us so much in this time of reestablishing our family here to know that you are standing in battle in prayer for our family. We continue to covet your prayers and look forward to being with you for lots of visits soon!!!

To our TN friends: we are so thankful for ALL of your welcoming! Many of you may not have even know that we are here for good until now! It all has happened so fast! We look forward to spending precious unrushed days with you and building in our friendships here.

More details to follow, but I know everyone has been asking for pictures of the house and what is going on...so here they are!

I was just telling a friend this week I had been out of the loop at church. Oh my have I ever been out of the loop. I checked your blog to see what you guys had been up to. When I saw your house I was thinking wow what a pretty house, but where did they move to? It just didn't look like Texas. So happy for you as you are back in your roots. I will be thinking of you as you get settled and start your new life. We will miss seeing you guys.
